The One Thing I Wish Every Mom Knew...

As a pre/postnatal yoga teacher of over 5 years - there’s one thing I wish every mom knew…

 

Here it goes: It takes 2-3 years for your body to go back to “normal” after giving birth.

 

Everyone’s healing is a little different, and some people will feel “normal” faster than others. If you’re not sure, here are some symptoms that indicate your body is still healing:

 

  • SI joint pain

  • Chronic hip pain

  • Leaking

  • Prolapse

  • Diastasis recti (abdominal separation)

  • A low belly pooch that won’t go away

  • Can’t feel your abdominal muscles working

  • Sleepy glutes

  • A flat butt (especially if it’s flatter than it was pre-pregnancy)

  • Chronic lower back pain

  • Painful sex

  • Neck tension

  • Shoulder discomfort

  • Pain or discomfort in your wrists

 

The good news is that there is a way to speed up the healing process, and feel better, faster:

 

You need a movement practice specifically designed to reverse the muscular and skeletal changes that happened during your pregnancy and birth.
